Pulchra Ondo

While the world was about to enter a period of quarantine, Ohshu started to make sound recordings. He continued to release his demo works on Bandcamp like a daily diary from 1st/April.

This work, "Pulchra Ondo" is an album which was completed by reconstructing and re-mixing that pieces that had been born and released daily. They are like a collection of short stories of this period, and like a monument of sounds which he wanted to leave behind when we will look back on this unimaginable season, spring/2020.

On this work, There is a sense of the happiness in making music, and the joyful atmosphere that could be described as "partying" pervades the work. And this album can be said a collection of his unique, omnivorous, yet coherent instrumental music. 

In this time, he asked to work for the mastering to ZETTON, and the design to Takahiro Inoue (Ohshu have wanted to work with both persons ). So this record gives the hopeful future for us and Ohshu's future too.

世の中が自粛期間に入ろうとする中、何かやれることはないかと模索していた王舟は音源制作を開始。偶然にも年度始まりである4月1日から、日々の日記のようにDEMO作品をBandcampに発表し続けた。

この作品、” Pulchra Ondo”は日々生まれ続け発表していた楽曲を、改めて再構築、ミックスし直し1つのアルバムとして完成させたものである。それらは、一定期間に作られた短編集のようであり、2020年春という想像もできなかった季節を振り返った時に、彼が残しておきたかった音の石碑でもある。

外に出れない中でも作業に関わらず、作品がまとめられる過程で” Pulchra Ondo”と名付けられた。音楽を作ることへの幸福感や、”パーティ感”とも言えるぐらいのたのしげな雰囲気が作品全体に漂っている。彼ならではの雑食ながら1本芯の通ったインスト音楽集であり、以前から依頼してみたかったZETTON氏にマスタリング、 井上貴裕氏がデザインを担当。聴き手にとっても王舟の今後にとっても、希望的な未来を感じさせる記録となった。

2014年7月、多くのゲストミュージシャンを迎えてバンド編成で制作したデビューアルバム「Wang」をfelicityからリリース。 2015年11月、12インチ重量盤シングル「ディスコブラジル」をリリース。B面にはnakayaan（ミツメ）によるリミックス収録。 「ディスコブラジル」のミュージックビデオは、UKのアーティスト、KINDNESSことアダム・ベインブリッジが監督。 2016年1月、宅録で制作した2ndアルバム「PICTURE」をリリース。 2016年9月、MOCKYによるリミックスが収録された7インチシングル「Moebius」をリリース。 2018年5月、BIOMAN（neco眠る）と共作でインストアルバム「Villa Tereze」をイタリアにて制作、NEWHERE MUSICからリリース。 2019年5月、宅録とバンド演奏を融合させた3rdアルバム「Big fish」をリリース。

He released his debut album, Wang, on felicity in July 2014, which was joined by many guest musicians as a band. A 12′ Single Vinyl, Disco Brasil, was released in November 2015. The music video for Disco Brasil was directed by KINDNESS (Adam Bainbridge), an artist based in UK. In January 2016, he released his second album, PICTURE, which was recorded alone at his home. In May 2018, he co-produced “Villa Tereze”, an instrumental album, with BIOMAN (neco nemuru) in Italy. The album was released under NEWHERE MUSIC. In May 2019, he released his third album, Big fish.
