Tokiyo is based in Kansai (West of Japan). And also she is a guitarist and vocalist of the band And Summer Club. In 2017, she released the first solo album "Outside the Universe" under the name of guru GURU, and released the 7-inch single "Wakefulness" in 2019.
"Bad Brain" released in 2020, unlike her solo works so far, is an album that Tokiyo herself worked on from recording to mastering, limiting the instruments used to almost only the guitar.
Although this work, she said to have become “lonely”, is certainly not a flashy work, but to that extent, the overlapping of colorful guitar tones and singing voices makes it possible to naturally enjoy the melody and rhythm of the song that simply emerges. can do.

2020年にリリースされた『Bad Brain』はこれまでのソロ作品とは異なり、使用楽器をほぼギターのみに絞り、録音からマスタリングまでもすべてTokiyo自身が手掛けたアルバムとなっている。本人曰く「寂しい感じ」になったという本作は、確かに派手な作品ではないけれど、その分、カラフルなギターの音色と歌声の重なり、シンプルに浮き上がってくる楽曲のメロディーとリズムを自然に楽しむことができます。 ジャケットのアートワークはR.Yankが制作。

プロフィール
199X年生まれ。And Summer Clubというハイパーロックバンドでリードギターをしながら、更なる快感を求めて活動している。ギターのループを使った即興交じりの自由なライブが巷のマニアから人気。 MOOSICLAB 2019にてグランプリを受賞した映画『眠る虫』の音楽を担当。 2020年8月に東京7th FLOORにて『Bad Brain』レコ発イベントを開催予定。
