With songs that breathe through the memory of both Eastern and Western popular/roots music, Kaze No Matasunny’s music bleeds through the tobacco-stained walls of backstreet boozers and forgotten cafes. In the distance—the sounds of the tuba, violin, and pianica are accented by lively percussion, which travel across several nameless streets of Kyoto. Following these distant sounds, spectators and passerbys are seen joining a funeral parade.
