ONSEN

Yutaka Houlette and Dustin Wong first met in the third grade, and continued to be classmates through college. They started playing improvised music together in high-school, but it wasn't until they were at the Maryland Institute College of art in Baltimore, that they attempted to learn their instruments and create songs. It was during this time that they formed Onsen. Onsen precedes another guitar duo that Dustin was part of called Ecstatic Sunshine. Listening back to the album over a decade after it was recorded, you can hear the honesty, stumbling, ambition, humor, discovery and joy of two friends making music.

ユタカ・ヒューレットとダスティン・ウォングは小学３年生の時に出会い、中学、高校、そしてメリーランド州の美術大学も一緒に通う。ギターが初心者ながら、音楽が作りたいとういう強い気持ちで頑張って作曲して、頑張って演奏することに挑み、ONSENというグループを作る。ダスティンが加わったバンド Ecstatic Sunshineの数年前のギターデュオの実験を試みたバンド、ONSEN。１０年以上前に録音した音をまた改めて聴くと、たまにつまずく音と素直で素朴な冗談のようなやさしが漂う。
