REV.01 - SIDE A

The first compilation under the COMPLEX label, "REV.01", is based on the concept that the label's leader, ayU tokiO (Inotsume), participates in the production of all the music from the process of composition and arrangement, and many musicians who have been friends with Inotsume through the activities of ayU tokiO. 

With seeing the credits of the participating artists and performers, you can catch a glimpse of the intergenerational collaborations in the recent part of music scene in Tokyo, and this is a fun way to get to know the participating musicians. 

Some of the songs were composed and recorded while our world was in turmoil due to the unprecedented viral disaster, but even in such a situation, they never gave up on their ingenuity to produce the sound. As a result, modern production processes such as telework recording were incorporated, resulting in a multifaceted sound work.

Please feel how universal the joy of working on music is. This album has been released as cassette tapes (with download code) and digital.

作曲・アレンジの段階からレーベル主宰ayU tokiO猪爪が全組の音楽制作に参加することで完成させるというコンセプトの今作、「REV.01」 COMPLEXレーベルコンピレーション第1作はayU tokiOの活動を通じて猪爪と親交のあるミュージシャンたちが多数参加。 本作参加アーティストや演奏者のクレジットから昨今の音楽シーンの世代を超えた交流を垣間見る事ができ、各参加ミュージシャンへの入り口としても楽しい。 未曾有のウィルス災害に世界が混乱する中で作曲・録音された楽曲もあり、そんな折でも創意工夫により音源制作へ向けて一片の諦めも無し。 結果、テレワークでの録音作業など現代的な制作過程も織り込まれるに至り、多面的に表情を持った音源作品となっている。 音楽へ取り組む楽しさがいかに普遍的なものであるかを感じて欲しい。 カセットテープ(ダウンロードコード付き)&デジタルリリース。 「音楽のあり方や音源制作のあり方、そして音楽レーベルの存在。変化目まぐるしい昨今の事情を考えて歩んでまいりましょう。 そして、まずたどり着いたのは奇妙ですてきなポップス空間だったのです。」
