Asa Gao

I bought a Heavenly Blue, a Scarlet O'Hara, and a white flowered morning glory seedling, whose name I have forgotten, and grew them last year. Each seedling grew easily and bloomed, but all the blue flowers bloomed one after another, which was very beautiful and I knew it was the Heavenly Blue. I found the seeds that were produced after the flowers bloomed, pinched them off and saved them, and planted them in the soil before the summer came, but now only the white flowers are blooming. At the house of the friend to whom I gave the seedlings, it seems that both white and red flowers have bloomed.

ヘブンリーブルー、スカーレットオハラ、それと名前を忘れましたが、白い花が咲く朝顔の苗を買って、去年育てました。それぞれの苗がするすると伸びて花が咲きましたが、青い花ばかりが次々と咲いて、それはとても綺麗で、これがヘブンリーブルーだとわかりましたが、他のふたつの苗の花はあまり咲きませんでした。 花が咲いたあとに実る種を見つけてはつまんでとっておいて、夏が来る前に土に植えましたが、今は白い花だけが咲いています。 苗をあげた友だちのお家では、白い花と赤い花が咲いたようです。
