Tenshinkun started recording his 5th solo work in 2017.
It took long to record and consider its arrangement at the same time, and in summer of 2020, that’s come up with 18 minutes condensed pop album “Parachute”.
Although the post-production was totally put in hands of his familiar collaborator Ryuhei Shimada in the earlier works, Tenshinkun asked Daisuke Adachi to master this time.
This change has brought a clear objectivity. It seems like you are in a citizen hall, watching the drop curtain with cord brake rises, pin spotlight’s on the center of its stage, he appears and starts playing.
Backstage craftsmen run around, lines are made in front of concession stands, the parking lot is full, flags with the patterns you have never seen are hung, an advertising balloon is sent up.
However, Tenshinkun doesn’t go out from his room even once this weekend because he’s been told not to do so, and he thought he could try more things than outside.

てんしんくん5作目のソロアルバムは2017年に制作開始。
アレンジをその場その場で考えながらゆっくり録り進め、2020年の夏、18分に凝縮されたポップアルバム「パラシュート」として結実しました。
これまでの作品では、長く気心知れたコラボレーターの島田龍平に最終工程まで委ねていましたが、今回はマスタリングのみを足立大輔に出した事で、一つの客観的視点を得ています。
たとえば市民ホールで、引き紐式の緞帳がゆっくり開き、ステージ中央にピンスポットが当たって、彼が登場し演奏し始めるのを見ているかの様です。
裏方さんは駆けずり回り、売店は行列、駐車場は満車、見たことのない模様ばかりの万国旗だけでなく、アドバルーンまで上がっています。
それでもやっぱり、てんしんくんはその週末のあいだじゅう、一歩も部屋から出ていませんでした。
そこにいるのが好きだし、色んな挑戦ができると思ったからです。

前作、from 3mm highから６年ぶりとなる、ニューアルバム。
生楽器中心の前作より一転、チープ・エレクトロが散りばめられた本作も、
俄然ポップで切なく、大らかな楽曲たちがぎゅっと詰まっています。
てんしんくんが降り立つと、そこは遊園地、誰も見ていない夜を一緒に浮遊しているようです。
